Helme parish museum

The museum belongs to Helme Municipality Government and its management is financially supported by the municipality governments once belonging to the Helme parish - these are Helme, Põdrala, Hummuli and Tõrva.

The museum was created on 1975. It was a voluntary initiative of local people, who valued old things with stories and thought there should be a nice place for them. In 1979 the Lutheran Church gave the rectory of Helme Church to the museum and since then the museum has operated there.
